High Latitude Sea Surface Skin Temperatures Derived From Saildrone Infrared Measurements

HEITRONICS Infrared Radiation Thermometers (also known as Infrared Radiometers or Infrared Pyrometers) have been successfully applied within the Worldwide Atmospheric & Ocean Sciences communities for decades.

The authors of the following article provide an intensive review and analysis of the data cited.

HEITRONICS also acknowledges the support efforts of our USA partners, William ‘Bud’ Foran (HEITRONICS Mgr. of the Americas) and Peter Winter (Wintronics Inc. USA Distributor & Service Center) as well as the entire Team in Wiesbaden which supports them and our clients.

Camera KT19 II

For Process Monitoring

The camera option for KT19 II produces a visual image to monitor the same area where the temperature measurement is taken. It is compatible with all KT19 II models which have the view finder option.

The transmitted color image monitors the area on and nearby where the recorded temperature measurement occurs. This makes it easy to visualize changes in the process conditions. The measured temperature value is also displayed in the image.

Thanks to its small dimensions, the camera can be easily retrofitted to existing KT19 II’s with the view finder option and, the camera is protected by a cover.
